This case is a faithful reproduction of the left–hand 1936-1941 Knucklehead engine case.

It is made from 356 aluminum alloy which has been heat treated to T6 specifications. 

Just like the original Knucklehead engine case, the main bearing bore is a cast in keyed steel insert but uses the later knucklehead bearing race. It has the original part number cast on the outside of the case, just like the ‘36-‘39 case. The cylinder deck and bore, the motor mounts, and the main bearing bore are all left with .040-.060 of material so that it can be perfectly matched up to your original right hand case which we can do for you if necessary. If you want your motor to look like it did when it originally came from Milwaukee, then this is the case for you.
